Pines Recovery Life Detox, a State-of-the-art Drug & Alcohol Detox Facility in South Florida

How Can Our Drug & Alcohol Detox Programs Help You?

Our 3-Level Treatment Process

EVALUATION

During evaluation, a staff member will assess your state and craft a unique program of recovery for you. We will find out the types of drugs and how often you used in order to set you up on the safest path possible. A doctor will also look for possible co-occurring disorders, or the presence of a mental illness that could impact your recovery. We treat mind, body, and spirit so this thorough evaluation will set you on the right path.

STABILIZATION

The stabilization process is where we will medically manage all of your withdrawal symptoms experienced during your separation from substances. Stabilization can sometimes be a difficult time but your safety and comfort are of the highest importance to us at Pines Recovery Life Detox. During this time you’ll have access to all of the amenities available at our facility to keep you entertained. Our staff will be available around the clock during the stabilization process if you need any assistance.

AFTERCARE

Pines Recovery Life Detox focuses on the detoxification process to treat withdrawal symptoms to the best of our ability, so we direct you to outside help for aftercare. If you haven’t already made arrangements, towards the end of your treatment at Pines Recovery Life Detox, you will work with a staff member who will help with your decision and eventually your transfer to the facility of your choice.

What is Alcohol and Drug Detox Treatment?

a group therapy session discussing substance abuse detox You’ve definitely heard the term “detox” thrown around, but have you ever known what it actually means? You are not alone. “What is detox?” is a common question asked by people addicted to drugs and alcohol and their loved ones.

There are several different types of medical detoxification, including detox from alcohol, opioids, prescription medications, amphetamines, cocaine, etc. When an individual requires detoxification from drugs, the individual’s drug intake is stopped fairy abruptly. Then, the individual is given medication that tempers the less severe symptoms and prevents the more dangerous symptoms before they arise.

At Pines Recovery Life Detox, the program starts with an evaluation. During this time, we check the patient’s vital signs and determine the amount of medicine they will require. The dosage will then be reduced significantly each day, and in many cases, by the end of five days, the patient will be completely detoxed.

Our approach to helping clients detox from opioids is to replace the illicit opioids with prescribed opioid medications. Then, we keep the patient on the medications while working together to stabilize him or her during recovery. This process is often also referred to as harm reduction. Our opiate detox program covers:

The medications used to stabilize a patient are much safer than illicit opioids and may allow the patient to avoid the difficult withdrawal symptoms. Opioid withdrawal often means the onset of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms, which is why medical detox is preferred.
