Overview
Pines Recovery Life (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates pinesrecoverylife.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to the Site only. Protected Health Information (PHI) gathered during clinical care is governed separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA).
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit a form, request insurance verification, or contact us, we collect the information you provide — typically name, phone, email, insurance details, relationship to the patient, and a brief description of your situation.
Automatically collected. When you browse the Site, we collect standard technical information: IP address (anonymized where feasible), browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location (city-level). We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and a Meta Pixel for aggregate traffic analysis.
Cookies. We use first-party and third-party cookies for analytics, session management, and remarketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some Site functionality.

Sharing of information
We do not sell your information. We share information only with:
- Service providers under Business Associate Agreements or equivalent data-protection contracts — hosting, analytics, secure email, CRM, insurance verification platforms;
- Healthcare providers when necessary for care coordination, with your written authorization;
- Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or valid legal process.
We do not share Protected Health Information with advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
HIPAA & 42 CFR Part 2
All Protected Health Information (PHI) collected during clinical care is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Part 2 (substance-use-disorder records). PHI is separately protected and handled per our Notice of Privacy Practices.

We retain contact-form data for the period necessary to fulfill our legitimate business purposes (typically 3 years) and as required by law. Clinical records are retained per Florida and federal law, typically seven (7) years following discharge, or longer when required for legal or regulatory purposes.

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
