Our commitment

We aim for our website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines define how digital content should be made accessible to people with disabilities — including those with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological differences.

How we conform

Our design and engineering practices include:

  • Color contrast: Body text meets 4.5:1 contrast ratio against background; large text meets 3:1 (WCAG 2.2 SC 1.4.3).
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are operable via keyboard with visible focus indicators (WCAG 2.4.7, 2.1.1).
  • Semantic structure: Proper heading cascade, ARIA landmarks, and semantic HTML (WCAG 1.3.1).
  • Alternative text: All meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images use empty alt attributes (WCAG 1.1.1).
  • Form labels: All form fields have explicit programmatic labels (WCAG 1.3.1, 3.3.2).
  • Resizable text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality (WCAG 1.4.4).
  • Tap targets: Interactive controls meet minimum 24×24 CSS pixel tap-target size (WCAG 2.5.8).
  • Descriptive link text: Link purpose is understandable out of context (WCAG 2.4.4).

Technologies supported

Our website is designed to work with recent versions of:

  • Modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, latest two major versions)
  • Screen readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Browser zoom and operating-system text scaling
  • Voice-control software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control on macOS/iOS)
  • Keyboard-only navigation

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not be fully accessible. Areas we’re actively improving:

  • Third-party embedded content (video players, maps, insurance verification widgets) may not meet full AA standards. We select vendors with accessibility commitments and flag gaps.
  • Some older blog-post images may lack descriptive alt text. We’re auditing and remediating these on an ongoing basis.
  • PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you encounter a PDF you need an accessible version of, contact us.
