Pines Recovery Life is a privately held medical detox and residential inpatient program in Pembroke Pines, Florida. We treat adults with substance use disorders, along with the co-occurring anxiety, depression and trauma that usually come with them, on an 18,000 sq ft clinical campus staffed by a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapists, and 24/7 medical professionals.

Pines Recovery Life opened in 2022 to do one thing properly. The first weeks of addiction treatment are the most fragile and the most dangerous, and they need a clinical environment built for exactly that.
Detox means stabilizing the whole person: medical vitals, psychiatric state, nutrition, sleep, and the first steps into therapeutic work. Residential inpatient is where that stability gets reinforced before you go back to your life. We went deep on those two levels of care instead of running a long menu of services.
Every clinical, design, and operational decision at our Pembroke Pines campus comes back to that focus: a calm physical environment, a board-certified psychiatrist leading the medical team, licensed therapists working with small caseloads, and case managers who stay with each patient from admission through discharge.

Three things guide the clinical work here. They are simple to state and harder to live by every day.
Treat the disorder, not the label.
Substance use disorder is a chronic medical condition with established evidence-based treatment protocols. We use ASAM criteria, CIWA-Ar and COWS scales, FDA-approved medications for opioid and alcohol use disorder, and therapies validated in peer-reviewed research.
No person is a diagnosis.
Every patient who walks through our doors is somebody’s parent, child, friend or neighbor. We use person-first language, private rooms, real clothing, and an intake nobody rushes. Shame has never healed anyone. Calm, steady, respectful care does.
Recovery is a long arc.
Detox and residential are the first chapter. Our case managers coordinate with your family and your home-state providers so the work started here carries on after discharge day.

Our Pembroke Pines campus was designed around one observation: people in early recovery need less stimulus around them. The colors are soft. The furniture is residential. The lighting changes with the sun. There are private rooms, private bathrooms, outdoor space, and therapy rooms big enough to hold a real group.
Medical detox and residential inpatient share the same therapy rooms, dining and outdoor space. The clinical offices sit close to the units, so the team is never far from a patient who needs them.
The people responsible for how the work gets done.
Our Medical Director sees patients. Our Clinical Director reviews every treatment plan. Our Lead Therapist runs clinical supervision every week.
Oversees all medical protocols, medication management, and psychiatric care. Dual-trained in addiction medicine and psychiatry, with particular expertise in complex co-occurring disorders.
Leads day-to-day clinical operations, supervises the therapist team, and reviews every patient’s master treatment plan. Sets the standard for clinical documentation and continuity of care.
Runs clinical supervision, leads group therapy curriculum development, and carries a working caseload. Keeps the therapeutic program grounded in evidence-based modalities.
Oversees financial stewardship and insurance advocacy. Her team negotiates with carriers so clinical decisions aren’t driven by billing pressures. Transparency with families before admission is a non-negotiable.

On-site surveys every three years, with unannounced check-ins in between. They cover clinical protocols, patient safety, medication management, staff competency, and facility standards.

All clinical records, communications, and billing systems are HIPAA-compliant. Business Associate Agreements are in place with every third-party vendor touching patient data. No PHI is shared with marketing platforms.

Pines Recovery Life is physically in Pembroke Pines, but our admissions team works with patients and families across the country. Every month, patients arrive from New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and a dozen other states. The reasons they give are consistent: distance from the people and places that fed their use, a program small enough to feel personal, and insurance that travels.
The nearest major airports are Miami International (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL). Clinical coordination with home-state providers begins on day one so your care plan is portable when you discharge.
